How much does it cost?

Participating in the Game Devs of Color Expo is 100% free. There is no fee to apply. There is no fee to showcase. Furthermore:

• Dev Interview participants are paid an honorarium, similar to the way all of our conference speakers are paid. For the Dev Interviews, it is currently $150 per person.
• If you do not have a Steam page yet, we can get Valve to waive their $100 fee for you to create a Steam store page.
• Every accepted game is automatically considered for the Game Devs of Color Grants. No additional application is necessary.

When are the application deadlines?

Each showcase has a different deadline, even though they use the same application form.

• April 19: Dev Interviews
• May 10: The GDoCExpo Direct
• August 2: Game Devs of Color Expo Steam Sale

What are the different ways I can show my game?

Dev Interviews

Spend 20 minutes speaking about the process behind your game with our 2024 event host! These interviews are shown to over 100k viewers during our live event and public Livestream on Stream. We'll highlight your game’s trailer and any gameplay content you want to include.

GDoCExpo Direct

We’d love to include your game in our annual preview of world-premiere content by game creators of color! The Direct is publicly livestreamed via YouTube and any media partners to over 250k viewers.

Steam event

Show your game in our Steam event, which is usually visited by hundreds of thousands users! Participants see a major bump in wishlists, especially when our event is featured on Steam’s front page.
