Last year, we piloted the first official in-person Watch Parties in 3 major cities. In 2025, we're inviting communities worldwide to host their own! Organize a GDoCExpo Watch Party

GDoCExpo Watch Parties bridge online and in-person connection. Local attendees can congregate in-person to watch the online conference together, in real time. They will be viewing the same online conference as online attendees, but gathered together in-person at your venue. Anyone who attends a Watch Party will be able to meet, mingle, and network in between sessions.

Hosting an official GDoCExpo Watch Party is a major opportunity. We will be mentioning official Watch Parties in our marketing and promotions, as well as on our website and ticketing pages. Hosts will also have extensive opportunities to engage with our community on-site.

Requirements

Bare minimum:

• A dedicated space that is open to attendees
  • Includes audiovisual equipment to screen the conference talks (projector & screen, speakers, a stable internet connection, computer, and seating for guests)
  • Someone at the door to check tickets and/or register attendees
• Open for one or more of the following days: (Tues Sep 16 is online-only)
  • Wed September 17 - core hours: 12pm – 7pm ET
  • Thu September 18 - core hours: 12pm – 7pm ET
  • Fri September 19 - core hours: 12pm – 7pm ET
• Feature GDoCExpo branding on-site (we’ll give you instructions and files so you can locally source signage)
• Feature GDoCExpo sponsors’ branding on-site (we will coordinate with you on this)
• Coffee, tea, and water for attendees
• Agreeing to enforce our code of conduct, and your own company’s code of conduct

Preferred amenities:

• Space for 50–100 people
• Wifi access for guests
• Electrical outlets for guests
• Snacks and/or meals for attendees

Bonus features:

• The ability to facilitate networking and mingling before or after the conference talks, or during the breaks
• You will have the opportunity to showcase any official GDoCExpo 2025 games in your space throughout the watch party
